RAJ BOTHRA, M.D., F.I.P.P.
Member, American Society of Interventional Pain Physician. Dr. Bothra has been practicing in Warren for 30 years. He was Board Certified by American Board of General Surgery. For the last 5 years, he has specialized exclusively in Interventional Pain Management with expertise in Epidural Blocks, Facet Blocks, Radiofrequency Rhizotomy, Discogram and Percutaneous Discectomy Spinal Cord Stimulations etc... With his background of General Surgery, he has an ease with performing these procedures.

ERIC N. BACKOS, M.D.
Board Certified Physical Medicine Rehabilitation specialist with over 25 years’ experience. He specializes in Pain Management, Medication Management, Opioid detoxification, EMG/NCS testing to identify specific location of nerve injury, Botox therapy and Acupuncture.
David Lewis M.D.
Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Tennessee State University. Upon graduation, he attended the magnificent Meharry Medical College where he received his medical degree. He then pursued and successfully completed a residency program in Anesthesiology at the Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University, as well as a pain management fellowship. In May of 2016, Dr. Lewis successfully completed his board requirements and is now certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology. He will sit for his pain boards in late 2017.
Ronald Kufner, M.D.
Ronald P Kufner, M.D. is double-boarded in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Society of Anesthesiology, and has been in practice more than 25 years. He earned his MD degree at Oregon Health Sciences University, followed by a residency at Mayo Clinic (Rochester), where he remained on staff for seven years before entering private practice. He later attended a pain fellowship at University of South Florida (Tampa) where he received training in all aspects of pain management. As an interventional pain specialist, he treats mainly spine and musculoskeletal pain.
Anatole Matulis, M.D. Ph.D
Dr. Matulis is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. He is not only an M.D. but also a Ph.D. He was Chairman of Department of Psychiatry and President on Medical Staff at Holy Cross Hospital. His speciality is Neuropsychiatry. He has written books on this subject. He practices General Psychiatry and his main interest is head injury and neuropsychiatry. In a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, the services of Psychologist and Psychiatrist are very valuable.

Tatyana Bezpalko, MSN, AGNP-C is originally from Ukraine where she completed her nursing undergraduate education, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and Master of Science in Biology. She achieved Master of Science in Nursing by attending Walden University and got board certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
She worked as an RN at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital for 11 years where she mastered her
pain management skills while taking care of post-surgical and cancer patients.
In 2008, she was granted the Epidural Analgesia Pain Management Certificate.
Tatyana explains,“I love encouraging my patients and empowering them through all walks of
healthcare, and I see myself as a partner in their pain management challenges.
I especially enjoy building relationships and working with new patients to
guide them as they establish their pain care goals and needs.”
In her spare time, Tatyana enjoys cooking, sewing, and spending
time with her family. She is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian Languages. She is
excited to be a part of The Pain Center and is very proud to work with such a
fantastic team of providers.
Christopher R. Russo, M.D.
Christopher R. Russo, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He attended the University of Michigan Medical School where he received his Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Russo went on to complete his residency training with the University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology. Following his residency training, Dr. Russo completed a two-year Pain Medicine Fellowship with the University of South Florida Department of Neurology. This was followed by Post-Fellowship training in Advanced Interventional Pain Techniques at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He has special interest in spinal cord and occipital nerve stimulation, trigeminal nerve disorders, vertebral compression fractures, radiofrequency ablation and chemical dependency.
